So as much as I have hated the poop tarp, i now love the poop tarp. I never would of caught this if it went into the bedding/litter.

Rooster Booster take care of this? I'll treat the whole flock.
Or do I have to go with Ivomectin? I'm not sure what kind of worm that is other than nasty.

I must be building some kind of tolerance to this stuff because 4 months ago I would of had a melt down and burned the coop down. Now I'm like, meh ..lets see what everyone on the forum thinks is best.

Good catch! Looks like a tape worm to me. If that's coming out in poop, I think your chicken may have an overload internally. I don't know what you would use to treat tape worms, though. Someone with more experience hopefully can suggest something.

I thought it looked more like round worm ... Tape worm is segmented ... This is a speghetti noodle

Yes, you're right - no segments. I should have enlarged it for a more detailed view.

Phew !! Because I had the torche in my hand!! Lol. Tape worm is not get-rid-of friendly.

So...rooster booster? Or Ivomectin?

Round worm piperazine for 1 day in water wil take care of them.

Piperazine ... Hmmm ok. Is this a vet thing or a feed store thing ...

Maybe I should just have a duck. 1 duck. That's it that's all

if your duck free ranges it will, too, get worms. either way get some piperazine from your feed store. 1.5 tsp in a 1 gallon (4 liter) waterer. take away all the other water and let your birds drink only this water for a day, and viola, dewormed birds. easy.

Didn't you just give them Ivomec? If so it's just killed the single round worm your chickens had...............
PS Sandy if you dust your poo tarp with a thin dusting of Stall Dry and then dust that again over top of the Stall Dry with a thin layer of shavings, most of the poop will easily roll off and won't stick. It will will keep the humidity down too. You'll still pick up on any issues.
Stall dry is clay plus diatomaceous earth. You can buy it at the feed store.

Nope, only one who's had Ivomectin is quarantine Silkie. Others got dusted.

I have stall dry!! Why didn't I think of that? It will be easier to clean, I use a big scrub brush and gag lol. But I will say, I wouldn't of noticed that noodle if it didn't fall onto the tarp.

I remove poop from tarp every day and wash tarp twice a week. Exhausting. Not really, but when added to the already full schedule .. Poop tarp annoys me some days.
