A Note from OMAFRA
As turkey hunting season started out this week, OMAFRA and the groups that deal with wild birds ,( Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry , Canadian Wildlife Services , Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters and Canadian Wildlife Health Coopertive) have put out this advisory to all in the commercial and non commercial poultry industry focused on those that may be working with wild birds , wild bird habitats and domestic poultry. Good biosecurity practices should be a part of your normal routine , we are recommending that extra precautions be taken to reduce the risk , not just for Avian Influenza , but for all poultry biosecurity risks.
