H5N8 High Path UK Cause for Concern

Post by modern17 » Thu Dec 22, 2016 3:53 pm

Please see the article that has been forwarded on to me by some of my US contacts... In talking to my Provincial contacts today . the concerning fact is this particular strain of High Path H5N8 is affecting wild waterfowl and large quantities of wild ducks and geese have been found and are testing postive for the strain .. where as most other strains of Avian influenza waterfowl are carriers and left unaffected ..concerning as many of the flight paths of wild waterfowl that travel through north america come in contact with birds from the UK and other parts of the world.
