We just attempted to add to our new flock after figuring out a number of our chicks were male. We picked up 4 speckeled sussex pillets (8 weeks old) this past sunday at a local club event but 2 days later and at least one is not looking right. She is eating and drinking and moving with the others when they do but she is tired more then the others and peeps more. Her one eye today she is keeping closed and the other only when she is moving around. there is not swelling that i can see or change in her manure. The others seem to have different eyes then my other babies but perhaps that is the breed? If i can figure out how to add a picture i will try later. Eyes look kind of sunken in/small

Try adding some vitamins to the waterer and check her crop to make sure she is eating.
Something like super booster or Poulvit.
Welcome to the forum hope all will be well with the bird.

Thank you ... I picked up some super booster and started it this morning and I picked up some stronger antibiotics to have just in case. She is eating and drinking (although not as much I noticed) is there a way to (calmly) "encourage " a chickens intake of water/meds?

you might want to separate her just in case its a respiratory bug-so it doesn't spread to the rest of the flock.

separated her yesterday but the others that she came with have started showing signs. Was able to get a better look tonight and it has all the signs of a respiratory bug. Bubbles/weepy eyes, and wet breathing. No crusty eyes and everyone is still eating and drinking. They are all separate now but did end up together due to an fencing accident... long story. Anyway, I know that the quarantine should have been more certain I am upset about that ... new chicks are going back Saturday and my chicks (hand raised from day old) are still looking fine. Everyone is on antibiotics in water since tuesday..... looking for any advice on helping my little ones to stay clear of the bug. Ie... treatment as an incase, best way to clean after chickens leave... etc. Thank you so much. I had NO idea i would get so attached to 4 little chicks in 4 weeks.
Very worried new chick Mama

As, WLLady would tell me don't panic. It happens.

Cumin, garlic, cayenne pepper and rubbed oregano for your adult crew. Unpasteurized, unfiltered, Apple cider vinegar in their water.
I would also use capsuled probiotics (good ones kept in fridge) and open capsule, sprinkle on feed. Boost their immune system!!

How old are your chicks?

Thank you I will get the probiotic. They get yogurt as a treat and LOVE it
Just have chicks (no adults) they are
Almost 5 weeks ( the new ones that are leaving are 7 -8 weeks)
Is it ok to give the chicks the herbs if it is just a little at a time to start?

I wouldn't give the oregano to the babies, don't know om the others.

You might want to treat for coccidiosis.
