Geez! I didn't think that they would eat hot pepper seeds. I just threw out a whole lot of jalapeno seeds. Damn!

Chickens and turkeys don't have the receptors in their mouths for hot and spicy that we do. You can feed them pure cayenne powder and they'll never notice. They can smell and taste the flavour of the pepper/pepper seeds, but not the heat. It won't affect/burn their behinds either, on the way out, since that particular effect of hot peppers is a psychosomatic response peculiar to humans :) Hot pepper seeds are just like any other seeds to them.
