What to do about poopy eggs

It seems that my EO, Penelope, has developed a faulty bypass valve since she came back into lay again: There's been

on her egg every single time she's laid an egg. I know it's her, because there is no

in the nest box, just on the egg. I'm guessing there's not much to be done to fix her, so my question is: is the egg still safe to eat? When I wipe and wash them off, there is always have a darkish stain left on the shell where the

used to be. This makes me nervous, so haven't eaten any of them, because I don't know how much bacteria would have penetrated the shell.
Any advice? Do I poach 'em or pitch 'em?

I personally dont think any bacteria will enter the shell whatsoever unless heavily scrubbed to remove the bloom. I would just eat them as is.

I eat them. I figure even if bacteria has migrated inside the egg, and turn it into egg nog, it isn't anything I don't already have in my own guts anyway. But generally I cook them anyway, just in case lol. Though I'm not above licking the cake batter bowl (ok, I shovel cake batter into my face with a spoon, and sometimes there's not enough left for the cake pan) or tasting the cookie dough.

www - Unfortunately. My metabolism has not supported that sort of "culinary" indulgence in a very long time, but I do have vague childhood memories of licking off the mixer beaters and cleaning out the batter bowl. I also remember getting an easy bake oven for Christmas one year. It was confiscated before the end of January, the reason being "[over]use without permission". It was an oversight on my stepmother's part not to confiscate the cake mixes as well; little did she know that I liked cake batter more than a baked cake, and I really didn't care if I never got that easy bake oven back.

Just wipe them off with a warm damp paper towel and eat them yourself.....or hard boil and puppy treat or if you dont need puppy egg farts hard boil and mash (with the shells) and give back to the chickens.....or target practice for hunting season if you really dont want to eat them.....
