I have a RIR, Scrawny Scarlett, that I have separated from the flock because she was getting pecked and still has a fairly bare neck. She is now company for the old docile cochin, Anna. Although Anna does let Scarlett know who eats first.
Twice this week, I have witnessed Scarlett doing a funky backward walk for about 18-24 inches. Both times, she was either near me or near Anna. Would this mean that she has a neurological problem?

Likely. If you can get some liquid vitamin mix it wouldn't hurt. I've had hens do this and they were both vit B deficient. Brewers yeast crushed up in the food can also help-that's mostly vit B and protein....

Yes I agree it's a vitamin B and selenium deficiency, and they usually recommend Brewers yeast.
