Too bad for Burt, then. None of the new hens were interested in checking out what he was doing or what he was singing to them. The ones that were nearby stayed where they were.

My Oliver has been doing that for years. He hops up into the nesting boxes and kicks all the wood shavings out, then has a nap.I secretly think he's just hiding and taking a break from being king rooster!
