Hahaha @Jaye I could collect some for you, but I have no idea how long chicken sperm will keep outside of a chicken lol! If you like, I can take pictures of some potential suitors for when she's back in lay next Spring :D
@Happy , the occasional soft-shelled egg off the perch is completely normal, especially for good layers with a short laying cycle. If her cycle is less than 26 hours, she's just firing them through too fast to lay down shell. Most hens really have no idea that there's an impending egg until there's shell on it, so they just it out wherever.
