My first broody had an "Auntie" come to help too when the chicks were a couple of weeks old.

Right now I have 2 Bantys sitting on eggs in same nest box . If they hatch it will be confusing on Mother's Day . Modern family 😄
Had this happen last year . 9 eggs hatched one hen ended up with 8 babies the other with 1 . Funny to watch at play time . Luck

I do it all the time too. In fact I've got 3 hatches of chicks right now and 5 broodies on nests all surrounded by other chickens, turkeys and ducks. Nobody bothers them at all.
