Anybody has experience with these?

seriously considering trying them, put together a breeding pen and the girls are trying to take apart the cockerels crowning beauty of a comb.
He is now bluecoated and vaseline and they are still trying.
It's too late in the season to take him out again so this looks like a one possible solution?

Never tried them but I know others have and swear they work. Wonder why they are picking on him?

I am afraid it's a loving grooming and somebody drew blood.
Unfortunately the males are so laid back, instead of lifting his head, he just lets them do it.
Normally I would simply remove and blue note and wait for it to heal, but if I hope to hatch anything from him this season, some more instant action is needed.
I would remove them (and him) after the breeding period.

OK, here is me again, thought I should report on my findings, this is a purely personal experience and the pinless peepers people, don't have to bother suing me, I don't have anything. ;)
First apparently not all hens have nostrils in the same place, and the whole thing should be only attempted by a person who has better eyesight and dexterity then I do, and 4-6 hands would come in handy.
It took some serious aiming, before the first hen found the nest box. not sure if there is going to be a problem with the higher two.

Seriously, you are wearing the same thing ???

They seem to have no trouble eating, and it took only couple of minutes to find the treats in my hand

It remains to be seen if it will actually protect "Mac the man", will wait couple days for re-introduction.
I think I would use it as a last resort, to deal with an aggressive individual, but as a general flock approach this would not be my choice.

Well, here is my completely unscientific report based on entirely too small a group without a control, but here goes.
Mack the Man back in with the now bespectacled hens only one hen lost her peepers, rest are still wearing them, which is pretty surprising.
Painted Mack's comb with Blue Kote, just in case, and send him back in to the wars (I mean harem) again.
Settled myself comfortably to watch the proceedings and it took exactly 10 min, for the hen without peepers to give him a test peck.
so out she went, and the rest have been fine and very accommodating.
To quote KB his enthusiasm far exceeds his skill and I swear the hens not only shake themselves, but also shake their heads and roll their eyes after his fast and furious attempts.
