Change in behaviour
So we went away and left everyone with a friend who has experience with turkeys and chickens. Since we came home I have noticed a change in my Lap Jennie, #2 (LJ). She now requires us to HAND FEED her treats to her! Methinks someone was being spoiled while we were gone LOL!

Doesn't take long for them to learn. Great though to hear all was well when you got home.

Re: Change in behaviour
I think she suffered separation anxiety and now needs your constant reassurance that you love her lol
Ever since I put Kronk out in the barn, he's like a heeling dog when we go in there--stuck right to my leg in lockstep, intently watching my hand for treats or tugging on my fingers to make me pet him.Turkeys can be very needy lol!

Re: Change in behaviour
Mystery solved! I was chatting with their Caregiver last night. He said they assured him this is normal practice for us and he should always hand feed! (This is also why he no longer keeps turkeys - he had a terrible time when it came to processing them, no problem with cockerels but turkeys no.)
