Re: What time do your chickens go to bed?
I don't feed anything at shutdown time...usually in my flock as soon as the light goes dim in they go...and on the roosts they never seem to want to come off so no treats needed, as if I would, lol and right now its around 5 pm...nice not to have to go out in the dark and cold to lock them down after supper... :running-chicken:

If you don't plant the tree, you will never have the fruit...

I will post a video later of bedtime in my coop. @TomK you will shake your head for sure lol.
Skinny same here my guys don’t get outside unless I’m with them right now. Sis-in-law lost all but 2 chickens to a fox and seeing coyotes here is a weekly occurance. The good thing is they love their nice dry pen so no big deal.

This is only 1/2 of them. The young ones get same treats in their room. They all rush to their spot and wait. No shoving or fighting or they don’t get treats lol. Nightly ritual.

I don't know who has trained who! I know the little game hen knows how to get a big share! Too awesome.

That is too cute!
BTW Jan it's been so much easier to put the turkeys away without #2 stopping the young males at the door. They are twice her size but they were scared of her.
