I didn't know that rabbits ate rhubarb ... I also didn't know they would ring bark the young fruit trees that we planted last year over the winter. It looks like only one apple planted two years ago, one cherry, and one plum tree will survive.
Our rhubarb was spared.

Re: Good Morning - 2023
Good morning everyone. Still no power here. We have been running the generator in the mornings to run the well pump, to brew our morning coffee and turn on internet connection to get caught up on news etc, turn on the fridge and freezers to get them down to temp, and then switch banks to run the hot...

Re: Whats everyone feeding their quail?
... So Yeah Jaye are you using masterfeeds? Have you heard of or tried that sweetlix gamebird nutrient block? BUT, this only applies the people I like instantly ( I never mis ) and that happens very seldom, as in almost never. ;) To prove my point, I was shopping for a doormat and it turns out they all say WELCOME...

Re: Whats everyone feeding their quail?
 Hi Al! We feed ours a mix of turkey pheasant starter and chicken layer crumb, because I haven't been able to source any gamebird feed in our area, other than Purina, which we tried, but stopped using. We found that it makes their poop really reek, so I'm assuming it's full of cheap junk ingre...

Re: Picked on Chicken
 So sorry to hear about your chicken not making it. I know how hard it is to lose her in spite of doing all you could to help. We had to say goodbye to our favourite little d'Anvers hen, Dan-dan, two weekends ago as well. She had similar symptoms to what your girl exhibited. We had her in...
