Wool Socks.
I have worn wool socks most of my life. Growing up knit by mother and grandmother and darned when worn at the heel or toe. My grandmother would also take a pair the we would throw out these days and knit a brand new foot onto it, as the ankle wasnt worn at all. Lost art for sure, but I do darn mine ...

Re: New Silkie backyard caretaker
Lots of good info and knowledgeable people here. Don't be afraid to ask whatever. There is no such thing as a stupid question except when I as on purpose, like when I asked Happy if the Attends did the trick. (Oops, forgot I wasn't to tell.) You have silkies. They are such good natural mothers. Chec...

Good for you Brebis. I have heard that training the Borders with India Runner Ducks is a good thing. They herd and stay together and don't peck at a young dog to put it off herding. Not sure about other ducks, but probably work too. I want to get another dog since Ranger got killed, but have made no...

Re: Good Morning

I got stuck in it for a while, finally drove down the sidewalk to a cross street to get out of it. Vietnamese food was just wonderful. One egg today, eight yesterday. Still feeding M...

Couple nice sunny days about zero, some stuff melting, but not sloppy or muddy. I like it. Got on the boarder horse the other day. Wasn't 100% sure what it would be like, as she has not been ridden in the last year, and came from somewhere else when she was, but I had to try. She is really quiet, I ...

Re: Good Morning
Well I was playing hooky for a couple weeks. Went out to Alberta to visit my immediate female ancestor who is 92 and still living alone in her own house. Mind is sharp, body is telling her she is 92. Is trying to maybe hire somebody once a week to do the vacuuming and help change sheets on the bed. ...

Not deeply scientific. but I expect a healthy hen producing a healthy egg, and so much fresher than from the store.
