Good Morning!

Been down and out with a bad cold the past couple of days. Sucks. Hoping I am well enough to go to my Mother's for Easter dinner on Sunday. She has pretty advance COPD so we are careful to try not to bring any illness into her house. We have family dinners at her place as it is hard for her to get o...

Support for Backyard Chicken By-Law Amendment Please :)

I will be honest, I am not convinced that chickens make good urban pets. There are times my own chickens drive me crazy when they are up early on a Sunday morning telling the world they are laying their eggs. They are noisy, stinky, attract vermin and predators. yes, less so when they are housed and...

Good Morning!

Looks like my daughter's plan for a trip to Brussels this summer are now cancelled. She had already been rethinking it a little but this is the last straw, just not worth the risk. A prime example of why I consider myself an atheist...there is more evil poop done in this world in the name of religion.

Mount Forest is too far of a hike for me. A sale is different from an auction. A sale you see who you are buying from face to face and have a better chance of inspecting what you are buying and asking questions. For auctions I only go to the EBBA sale in Vernon. I like that the sellers must be membe...

McDonald's corner sale

Ill be honest. I don't like this sale. No one is accountable for what they bring. Some pretty crappy stuff goes through there...they sell anything as long as it is still alive. You would be further ahead to buy from the classifieds here. I like the EBBA sale because they must be members to sell, you...

Ottawa EBBA auction

Yes I agree with Doug. Some really nice birds today, but I resisted the urge and came home empty handed. The cage birds were inexpensive but the chickens / ducks/ geese seem to go at regular market value or higher. One African gander went for 105, not sure if that is expensive or a deal it is the fi...

Happy St. Patrick's day

For you Irish folk out there. Since some of us were on a bit of a Muppet kick lately I found this for you.

A Little Graphic, but Good News!
