Selling birds
Now I know it happens all the time but was wondering the legalities on the issue...are we actually allowed to sell chicks from home? It sounds like a stupid question as I type it out (of course we can?) but with all the other rules and regulations on every other aspect of our lives, I was left with ...

Half inch it is! Thanks folks. I was able to get some galvanized strips of steel 2’ wide 8 feet long. I’m going to use them along the bottom buried halfway in the ground.

What size hardware cloth is considered weasel proof?
What does everyone think? 3/4” (which is hard to find) or could you get away with 1”?
I’ve got quite a large run to do and often I get home after dark so it has to be critter proof (including weasels).
What do you all think?

They normally go for $25, but I’d do 5 for $100. I’m in brechin, regularly travel to Durham and York region.

Horizontal nipple waterers
I’ve been making these waterers for my new breeder pens and some people have shown interest. I love them, no dirty water, no spills. Now I’ve made some extras and posted them for sale on my Etsy page (or direct through me) Here is the link if interested https://www.etsy.com/shop/autopoultryproducts/

I know this is an old post but I was curious about the whiting true blue. What were they like and why did you sell them off?

Sufficient ventilation?
I’m in the process of finishing up a new coop. I’m now considering where and how many vents to put in. There are 2 openings on each end (30”x30”) that will be covered in hardware cloth. Overall size is 12x20. Is this enough? I was also considering putting in soffit vents aswell and could always do t...

Hi there, I’m not familiar with that street. I don’t live in town, but fairly close. Lots of good information on these boards. Still learning to navigate everything.
