I miss our big Tom cat. He’d even kill the smaller weasels. When old age took him, I’ve never been able to find one as tough as him. He took on a skunk one time. The yard stunk for days.

Sounds like we’re at the start of the next heat wave. Fingers crossed it rains tomorrow night and Thursday as noted on Environment Canada. The cistern and rain barrels need refills soon.

@Jaye I used the 50% veg oil, 50% water and tbs of dish soap. Suffocated the buggers. Putting duct tape, sticky side out on our poor oak trees that are under heavy attack. The snow this morning didn’t fizz on them.

Sounds like you have it under control. Next time it might be a good idea to totally separate the hens. One is bound to be dominant, which gives you the problem.
