if shes only a day old she may not be hungry until a couple days after you get her...they have tummies full of yolk that last about 3 days post hatch. most important that they drink-i would try water or a little water with sugar or electrolytes to stimulate drinking. just a drop at a time.

So the big culprit for us with bee losses are mites going into the winter. We started doing a series of late oxalic acid vapourization treatments and making sure our mite count was as zero as it could be and we stopped losing hives. Well i got around to planting some of the seed last weekend, and am waiting holding my breath on sprouts! lol. i've had to put a heater in the greenhouse the last few nights, -3 last night. at least it's sunny today, hopefully that will get the seeds going. plus it's only been 4 days, i'm a tad impa...
