My girls were off to a great start this year. Laying when eggs can freeze if you didn't collect right away you threw them away. 12 chicks on the ground Than BANG...stop They have just been able to go out the pop door because there as a huge snow pile. Yikes! I don't want 30cm, although I prefer that to an ice storm. Where are you la-chicken? I did hear some good news this morning, they said all this ice and snow should clear up for our Canada day celebrations, so that's good..... I think. I feel so sorry for ya all back there with the odd spring...

I am under yet ANOTHER heavy snowfall warning. 30 cm is in the forecast for today. This is on top of the knee high snow in the fields. As Bob G knows....I too, have started my SC RIR journey. And hatching has begun....Well, with the unfrozen eggs that I can collect vs hens moulting. I have hatched 10 so far and more coming.
