Hunt them during the scheduled season. Pest control is different, and a year round option. They are fairly easy to live trap and relocate if you prefer.

My understanding is that Jan's pup has matured into a very effective predator control enforcer :)
Just talked to a lady who got one of our pups last year for her farm in northern Ontario. Seems her lgd chased off a bear by itself a few weeks ago!

Absolutely heart breaking. So many lost in a single accident. My first thought when I saw it come up on the news was, with that many fatalities there will be some horrific injuries to the survivors. The only silver lining is the lives that have been saved by the one young lad who donated his organs.

Most of the good layer breeds have been mentioned, except Magpies. Beautiful little ducks, but for some reason they just don't get much consideration.
