Re: Coronavirus - how much do you worry ?

its a shame really she could have had so much fun....like if you do have sex with a stranger you should self quarantine with that person for 14-21 days. watch the number of std infections decrease for a while....or marriages decrease....which then would percolate into reduced divorce rates later......

Re: Garden Diaries, 2020

Sweet corn was a bust this year--planted late, and the cashcropper neighbour planted field corn so mine is crossbred and chewy. I got hit hard with squash borers while I was busy with work and paying zero attention to my tarped garden, and the nasty bugs got the zucchini and pumpkins before I could ...

Re: Brinsea Mini II Advance questions/humidity probe, etc.

I, personally, have thrown out the idea of monitoring incubator humidity, years ago, and now just watch ambient room humidity. Any electronic device that is constantly exposed to moisture and that you cannot calibrate, will fail you sooner or later and probably sooner, and you won't know it until yo...

Re: Calf hutch and a few ducks

I put straw just inside their coop or nesting areas. If you put it in their run, it will become a thick, heavy, cemented carpet that is impossible to remove without power equipment. Like a sheet of lead. Ducks like to be outdoors year round, and their wet poops quickly turn straw into daub and wattle.

Re: Good Morning!

@windwalkingwolf you have me totally confused about the "well behaved" turkeys! Currently #87, Mumsy, is raising Mark 2 Hellbeasts. Mum is a Mark 1 Hellbeast and she has taught them to sit on the table, chairs etc. and generally be demanding. Tweeps stuck her head over the edge of the table a coupl...

Oh I love her "bustle"! So cute! Is that just the way her feathers grow, or is it that her back is way up and her tail down? I know next to nothing about how Silkies are supposed to look, except for cute and fluffy lol!

Re: Coronavirus - how much do you worry ?

Well, the wheels of REAL science turn pretty slowly, so in the absence of anything new and actually helpful, I think gov.t is scrounging for filler. Unfortunate that this particular tidbit kind of makes Dr. Tam sound like a bit of a fruit loop, because she actually isn't.

Re: Good Morning!

Mind and body going is one thing, but people who want to be done for because someone has always done for them or because they feel they are owed, are quite another. F.I.L. once pouted in bed all day because hubby accidentally bought him the next size up of incontinence product. He had enough of the ...
