It was mostly new ground and 2 or 3 year old gardens. It took me about 12 hours and 2 goes at it. An...

Re: 2023 veggie garden

Yeah, thats what we normally do too OC, not because of the weather but because we finally can. In our area it's usually safe to plant after mothers day. Re: Making Babies

Bielefelder are next on our list! I haven't searched very hard but I couldn't find any. They are pretty and I really like the auto sexing breeds. Hey I did get a pic! Some of these are rsl legbar crosses.

Re: Making Babies

We will keep 1 new rooster and process the rest. These birds are layers so not much meat on them but nothing goes to waste around here. ...

Re: 2023 veggie garden

Thank you very much Jaye!

Man I just spent hours covering our gardens due to imminent frost! Supposed to be -2°C tonight! Grrrrr! Its a good thing we didnt get everything planted as I likely would not have been able to get it all covered.

Re: OK sex the chick!

Haha, no idea. Mine are super easy as males n females are completely different colors n patterns upon hatch. And just to make sure its even easier, lol, the cockerals have a yellow dot on top of their head. Cream legbars are awesome even though they are not APA recognized. I can't do feather sexing ...
