The Golden we had when were growing up was the sweetest fellow until someone knocked on the door and then he’d leap up at the window with bared teeth. Once the door was opened he was the visitor’s best friend! He also loved to hang out and howl with my sister when she practiced the saxophone!

I forgot. I also put 2 onions in and chicken broth. We had an instapot and we forgot food in it and when I opened the lid there were a kazillion maggots in it. I told my hubby "We can't own an Instapot

I hope you fed them to the chickens!!

Will miss it too. It has been a wonderful resource and also a nice place to socialize on many favourite things.

Well it’s hard to believe that it’s a year since I brought Kukla home. She’s full of energy and a sweetie but she can be quite the little devil too! It seems that food science these days is used to try and cheapen food without much thought to how it tastes. Processors and large grocery chains don’t really care and expect consumers will go along with it because it’s cheap.

Funny that, mine will come to anything as long as there’s a treat involved. What a beauty!

They look like leghorn pullets. Production type leghorns are housed in heated barns so there is no risk to get frostbite, but they can get hot in the summer and the comb helps to cool the bird.

My turkeys did this when they encountered them…
