Re: Good Morning - 2023

Elusive Einstein is still free. I have a hand knit thick wool sweater hanging in my closet that has a few holes (about 40 mm in Diameter)? Is this Einstein or is it a wool eating insect? Moth? My friend knitted the sweater for me. :( Have a sunwonderful day! I think you are dealing with moths eatin...

Re: Good Morning - 2023

rodent trap.jpg We got this on Amazon. It's cheaply made, but it was not expensive, and it was on sale, so ... The parts don't snap together well, but despite that, it does work. You just put it on top of a 5l bucket half full of water, add some peanut butter on several spots near the top of the la...

Re: Good Morning

We managed to get outside and work on the coop this afternoon. We covered the two vents that were allowing all the snow to blow in. (There's another vent that is protected by the covered run.) We also secured a piece of tarp over the broken plastic in our "utility" area which gives a lot of wind pr...

Re: Good Morning

@labradors, I agree with Killerbunny . Is there any way you can make the coop more comfortable/appealing to your chickens? Maybe hang a piece of plastic over the vent outside and cut a smile init so that the snow won't come in but the air will still pass through. Ours don't like the wind either, but...
