I have a rooster who is my only breeder this year. I have some 4 week old sons that I will grow out But will have to Keep him in isolation and only expose him to my best hens once or twice a week until I can secure a decent replacement or raise some of my own.

My friendly Barn cat was locked in the pickup for 24 hrs. last week. (luckily parked under a tree) Peed twice and pooed once. Thankfully on the vinyl floor and not the seats. I hosed down the floor and scrubbed with javex. Still stinks!

In today's increasingly litigious society sooner or later some-one will be awarded damages for hitting livestock. The days of free ranging large stock without adequate fencing are over. Even if you are sued and insurance pays for a court battle or settles out of court there will still be an emotiona...

We have Walnut trees across the road. Squirrels are getting the nuts before we can. New trees popping up every where even on our side of the road. The only thing keeping our wiring safe from squirrels in the out-buildings are the cats.
