Just ran across this older thread and relieved a bit to hear of people's experience with Frey's Barred Rocks. I started out 4 1/2 years ago with 10 of these day olds from Frey's. I have 3 of my originals left...1 went via coyote in mid-day attack and all the rest died one by one from 1 1/2 years old...
