Our family favorite down in Texas is a Black Bantam Cochin named "Dapple." She sounds like your birds, she will sit in your lap all day, follows you around, happy as a lark. I have been trying to find some more bantam Cochins but no luck up here in Ontario... I am not sure if it is a normal temperam...
