Re: New from york region...

Hey ya Yorkie! We just left York Region last year for Prince Edward County...more or less city folk, though I was a large animal vet tech like a hundred years ago, but chickens are a new thing for me. We are hoping to accumulate a flock this summer as we progress on our new house build. Long term I ...

Re: What's missing from the forum??

As a newbie I love this form, but I get lost often. There is so much information here! It is easy to get overwhelmed. I go back and read a lot of the old stuff, at times I respond, but there is not much dialogue...nor do I expect it because after all it is old news to the regulars. It is clear many ...

Re: Newbie in South Glengarry

Cheers! and welcome. Ex pat Brit here too...but from northern Scotland, so a wee bit more used to the cold than you would have been! I am new to eastern Ontario as well,(though been in Canada a good while now) but west of Kingston. Found PTO to be a wealth of great info...and a wealth of great folks...

Re: Subway chicken only 50% meat?

What do you do on a rainy snowy awful Sunday afternoon? Go back a read PTO threads from months before you joined!!! OF Course! Well what an interesting thread and good read this was! It is disturbing! Yet I am so glad to read that so many others are raising their own food for the very reasons I find...
