Was only thinking about firing up the incubator and........
I have an autumn machine maintenance day in october or november. Small engines that are rarely used get fuel dumped out (usually used in our old truck used around the farm; even if its mixed) so this includes spare chainsaw, weed whacker, boat motor, etc. and new fuel mixed or straight. 4 stroke mac...

Option: 1 Office supply places (Staples) sell a surge protector/UPS (uninterruptable power supply) rated for 350 watts (to run a sportsman) for 6 or 8 hours for $225 or so. They have a bunch of features including replaceable battery and self testing programs with 2 yr warranty. I think of Ontario Ch...

Chilli hot chocolate
:decision: oohh, hot and spicy: i agree with www that our palate is mild but I would not say boring: the "salespeople" are selling us bland tomatoes because they can be picked green and shipped then put in a co2 room to turn colour. The flavourful tomatoes don't ship well and have a short shelf life...

Good Morning!

Now if I won first place and was offered a membership with either of these clubs it would be a simple fuck you and the chicken you rode in on. Quote: Sandym I like that, i'll have to remember that. I just reread this thread a-z, and realized I missed this. I agree with you Sandy: you're either green...

Good Morning!
Hhhmmm... It seems that being a decent cook (or at least trying) and keeping poultry are common interests (coq au vin anyone?): an appreciation of good food starts with good ingredients... and pasty tasteless chicken is not what we want.

OC, you forgot candlemaking on the list! Another thought is that certain generations of people have seen real scarcity (food stamps here during wartime, and much worse during the wars in Europe and elsewhere) and the Baby Boomers and later groups grew up without knowing scarcity. With this topic I t...

Chilli hot chocolate
"Chilli" powder is dried from a mix of chillies including green chillies: sorrano and jalopeno and reds and includes some basil and cumin (preferably Mexican basil). Cayenne powder is just the chillies. Paprika is dried and ground sweet red pepper that is usually grown in a vineyard. The heat in a p...
