I have two female ducks.. Both lay eggs, both quack loudly. Today I saw one climb on top of the other, and when she was “done” they chased each other around and did the wing-flapping happy dance.
I’ve never seen chickens do this. Do they?

Re: Advice re pecking
Thanks OC! Will try this. Unfortunately Nanette did not learn from her ordeal and she flew the coop again when i wasn't there to rescue her, and she became a dog’s lunch. Actually I think only one dog is murderous. I found the other dog with Nanette’s body, just licking it sorrowfully. They have bee...

Re: Advice re pecking
Ok. I do have a friend for her, Nanette, another Polish crested who doesn’t get picked on. They could be roomies in a separate pen, but I would need to build it. She is walking around naked anyway, looking like a supermarket chicken walking at the back, having decided their huge fenced yard wasn't b...

Re: New Year's resolutions
I don’t usually make New Year resolutions, but I have one for this year. After my diagnosis of stage 3 colon cancer, I signed up for a clinical study about the effect of exercise on cancer recurrence. I just had my fitness review and have improved in all the measured areas except upper body strength...

Re: Good Morning!
Does anyone have a photo or video of a rooster puffing out neck feathers ready to attack? I never knew they did this! like some kind of lizard! It looks so weird! I am trying to explain this to someone, but a picture would be better.
