on a chicken matter...when i put in my order at the feed mill fir my meat chicks I ordered 5 Azure and 5 Noiran chicks which arrived last Wednesday...cute little fuzz butts...looking forward to how they turn out and how they lay...can only get pullets from Freys for these guys so I am totally curiou...

I sure hope everyone out east ontario has power back by now! i've been wondering for some time now why they aren't burying power lines.....i can understand where there's laurentian shield bedrock, but most places have enough dirt to go down and bury....hm. Right on Tom! I always look forward to seeing what you have going on. We found carrots last spring that we missed the fall before. Those get planted in a bed that doesn't flood. They went missing because someone who didn't think there was anything left in the bed, cut it with the lawnmower... wonde...

Gill..yup...the trick is to get them.out of thw ground as soon as you can...otherwise they can start to grow and go hairy and woody...but the wintering adds a level of flavour that i truly likeKillerbunny wrote: ↑Sat Apr 08, 2023 3:06 pm@TomK will try that this year. oh wow!...such a lovely day out today so i went out to the garden to chk on stuff. I noticed the row of over wintered, in the ground parsnips had started to sprout greenery so out came the garden fork. I love springtime parsnips. And, I was not disappointed, so I took a quick photo. I threw my glov...

Linda...nope..no greenhouse...that is in the plan for this summer's build...I have wanted to get to that for a couple of years but there was always something more pressing to do...i have grow racks with lights in the basement...but i grow far more varieties of tomatoes as well as all the other 'star...
