Bantam Breeding Project: Mottled and Cuckoo and Partridge, Oh My!!

CULL HARD is great advice, but seldom put into practice. We wouldn't have many of today's breeds and breed colours (and sizes) if we all culled TOO hard ;) Mind you, we also wouldn't all be either wishing for bigger coops and more breeding pens, or trying to figure out how to downsize, if we could a...

Good Morning!

Good Morning all! OK, so, now that I've finally sort of got my wits about me: thank you to all who came out for the first annual PTO Piknik. Good food was had (btw, KB, if I didn't say it already, that hamburger was AMAZING) in abundance, eggs and jam were exchanged, the show (and my hamburger) was ...

20703 BTW how do you candle blue eggs. I have a lot of trouble seeing through them. In a dark room, with a high lumen (CP) flashlight candler LOL, blue eggs are much easier than dark green or dark brown. In terms of opacity, it goes white, tinted, beige, light brown (no speckles) , blue, light gree...

Oh, dear, that's sort of become my biography. Except for the baling twine--I hate that plastic stuff with a purple passion. Non-biodegradable, not recyclable, and it keeps showing up like a bad penny. Throw it in the garbage, and next thing you know it's somehow halfway across the field and a cow is...

Evacuation!!

I was bitten behind my ear by a nasty spider once. No idea what kind. My whole ear swelled up x2 and the skin turned black as night. The pain was so bad I couldn't turn my head or brush my hair, and my skin peeled and oozed for about 2 weeks. I still like spiders though :D Leeches. Leeches give me t...

Good Morning!

It had the potential to be good, but the writing fell so short at such a pivotal moment, it just all kind of fell apart. Really shouldn't have given Affleck more lines than "I am Batman." Sorry lol! Your mileage may vary, but for me, it was very head-scratching and glad it was borrowed and not bough...

Good Morning!

We saw Suicide Squad at the drive-in on Saturday. It's decent. But I watched it right after I finally saw Batman vs. Superman, and I think anything would be good after that lol.
