Re: Whos my mommy? Matching dominant traits...

So all 3 chicks in the bottom photo turned out to be hens, very nice. Yes, though the one riding on his mothers back was a cockeral, along with several others that were re-homed. After predators took 2 of my pullets, I'm only left with 4 new layers this spring from my own hatches (plus 6 bought pur...

Re: Whos my mommy? Matching dominant traits...

I had 2 with rose comb, both were male (coincidence?). One has fluffy cheeks like her momma and I narrowed it down to her being the egg of the buff hen in the bottom photo. Re: Just got word ... Mt Forest End

Trouble finding volunteers. I would have gladly paid a couple of dollars gate fee to go in to see all the critters. It always seemed to draw a big crowd. Very sad.

Worth the wait!!!

Finally my first blue egg!!! My very first! I've got 4 EEs that lay brown eggs so I bought pure Ameraucana chicks in May at 4 weeks old. I've been waiting since then for this first rare blue prize! :chicken_dance:

No filter..just my under counter lighting.

Nice, right????
