I dont have any personal experience to add as Im just starting into my Ameraucana breeding journey with BBS, but I read an article on the ameraucana alliance website that said when they were originally trying to introduce the self blue gene, they bred them back to black. Dont know if that helps...

Still one of my favorite versions of Deck the Halls. Only time I've ever heard it is in Mickey Mouse's "Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas" movie.

Beautiful!

I looked everywhere for splash this past spring and couldnt find one. Finally bought 5 blue chicks which all turned out to be pullets, so...of course, I had to go out a buy a blue rooster too! Hoping for lots of splash babies next year!

Very nice colours! I have a pullet like your grey one....her eggs range from light green, blue and that dark Olive colour. Nice egg carton! All those colours from the same hen? I thought that once they laid one colour, thats what they laid for the rest of their life (with a small variation in shade...
