ANY QUILTERS Here?

My quilting turned into a nitemare for my hubby. We were City folk ( born & raised ) & I got a hankering for chickens. I wanted to move from Toronto to a place I could have poultry - but hubby didn't. My Traditional quilting, turned mean. I went on a mission ~ EVERY quilt had a chicken on it. Even a...

Re: Chicken MANICURE

THANK YOU so Freakin' much for the link to the pedipaws "thegawd" It had a good set of directions, which detailed how to use it. I did 2 manicures today & have at least another 6 before winter comes. I'm going to try the dog clippers, but the pedipaws look like a quick way to get a nice rounded edge...

Re: ?? when do u fire up ur Bator ??

WOW ~ there is a lot of dedicated bator breeders here ~ BUT THREE Incubators?!?!? OMGAWD, where do you put all the chicks? I'm impressed / jealous / over whelmed @ the thought - LOL I don't like starting too early because of the heat lamp situation. ( I always end up with chicks in my sewing room......

Ran out to the coop about every hour to make sure he was ok ~ now I am Super careful. Haven't ever seen pedipaw electric, but will check ...

Chicken MANICURE

Even with FREE Ranging, my chickens get long curled nails. I use toe nail clippers, but it is a tedious job. The clippers are not big enough to cut thru the nails. I must take many little nips front & back & sideways before it's done. Is there something easier? I have heard "Dog clippers"...

?? when do u fire up ur Bator ??

I usually like to load up my incubator in the spring. (April May June ) I like letting the chicks enjoy the nice weather. Nice to Not have heat lamps going, or worrying about them getting a chill. When do YOU like to fire up the bator, & why? I am Not selling my chicks, they are keepers.

Re: Avatar photos

I Googled "Sizing picture for AVATAR"
Alot of sites showed up & I used one of them to change my picture.
It was FREE & you can type what size you would like.
