Re: Hawk ID please

Funny that this subject popped up again today. I looked out of the window this afternoon, just in time to see a large hawk flying into the chicken run! By the time I had grabbed my coat and dashed outside, it had flown away and looked quite small, high in the sky. Sorry that I didn't get a chance to...

Re: Good Morning!

Too funny about the camo duct tape! I had no idea that such a thing existed! Hubby has finally made a chicken tractor because we felt so sorry that the chickens couldn't enjoy the green grass as their pen was all muddy and bereft of anything green. Yesterday when I put them back inside, one hen deci...

Re: Good Morning!

Farrier, I understood that the top was flat. I meant that the flat "shelf" would be installed on top of the railing. It might be a bit dodgy for the laundry basket if a goat came along and bumped it, but it could save your wife from falling off!

Re: Good Morning!

Great idea!

If it were mine, I'd like a rail on one side (for safety) with a flat top on which to plonk the clothes basket and clothes pegs on.

Re: My New Favourite Plants

When I was a kid, we moved to a "new" house. The neighbour was a fisherman and my mother was always complaining about the terrible stink in the summer time, and thought it was because he was gutting his fish outside. Turns out that it was some lillies in OUR garden emitting a horrendous stench :(. L...

Re: Good Morning!

Lay your walnuts in the tire grooves of your lane way & drive over them every day till the shell pops off . Check frequently. Old fashion way . Tried that too, didn't work, drove the butternuts in to the ground and made divots in the tires ;) Sounds like a fun way to plant a grove of butternut tree...

Re: Good Morning!

So sorry to hear the bad news WLLady. It's no fun to experience a bad fall when we get older - and you're just a young 'un! Hoping that you will get your CT and that you will be fixed up very soon.
