Re: Good Morning!

Another sunny day. I got all the hoof stock dewormed and hoof trimmed yesterday. The farrier did the horses. I hope to get all the birds done today and tomorrow and hopefully trim all the rabbits toe nails before the week is done. Still need to move a few pens and such before everything freeze solid...

Re: Never have I ever

Okay after some serious soul searching over my chicken addition I'm still not sure if I scored 0 or 1. I do cook meals just for my chickens, but the meal is eggs, so that combines two of the questions. The chicken meals that I cook are because I'm frugal not cause I'm a crazy chicken lady. I have a ...

Re: Never have I ever

Does the poop count if it was mixed with mud and water and it was from geese not chickens?

A bourbon Jake, a white Chantecler hen, a pair of Ringneck pheasants, and a trio of bobwhites. All things I already have, but prices were good so why not add some genetic diversity?

Re: Bunny opinions wanted.

I dont put in nest boxes much before 27 days gestation and most of mine eat the hay right up until the day before they knidle. Most dont start nest building until the day before they kindle. There is the odd one who builds a nest way in advance but most dont. Good luck.

Re: C.O.P. &G.B.A Fall Auction

We had a really good day. I needed a day to get "grounded" and poultry therapy is a perfect way to accomplish that. I went with my Daughter and her Fiancé who are getting married in 2018. We have been so busy wedding and dress shopping it felt really good to get out and be around a bunch of fellow p...

Re: New turkey advice please

Thanks for the encouragement and advice. I mixed turkey grower crumbles in as I figured pellets would be to different, gave a heat lamp and very low perches. I'll grab cat food tonite. By the time I'm done turning these girls around I'm going to be very attached to them and they'll end up being life...

New turkey advice please

I just got two bronze jennys from people who live right in town so their neighbours called bylaw with concerns about their turkeys. These turkeys have been living inside the house since they were a week old and feed nothing but chick starter. They have been kept in a 4x4x3 dog pen their entire lives...

I'm going with my daughter. I'm not really looking for anything, but you never know.
