Hi Jim....I'm still looking as well! They've moved up the list to add to the flock, happy to buy some eggs from you this year if the timing's right. :)

Thanks everyone. I put her out with the flock yesterday during the day because her energy level had picked up, and left her dog crate (like the one posted above) available for her to shelter in if need be. When we got home she didn't look any worse for wear and was fighting off the horny rooster.......

We picked up a batch of Black English Orpington chickens just before Christmas - one rooster, one hen, and 5 chicks, three of which were black, one was a cross of black and buff, and one buff. FIRST ANNUAL PTO PIKNIK WEEKEND-JULY 23!!!!
I volunteered my husband Warren to help Bert supervise and arrange the shoot - he's a registered range officer and does that sort of stuff all the time. We're only around 15-20min from you so won't be staying overnight....looking forward to it. :)

First annual PTO PikNik weekend selection
I can offer up my husband Warren to help with the shooting activity - he's a qualified range officer. Might also be able to source supplies for the shoot as well.....let me know how we can help out. We've also got some archery gear if people want to try that out as well. :)

Anybody here spy on their incubator via wifi?
I'm on my kids teachers speed dial for the next three weeks and would really like to be able to monitor what's going on without having to leave my desk - my boss is only so tolerant of our chicken obsession. Does anyone have any recommendations for a wifi enabled decent camera I could put int...

How to trim spurs?
Hello....can someone give me a quick primer on how to trim a roosters spurs? Aside from the new holes in my 5yo's leg, the rooster is tripping over them when he walks....can't be that comfortable for him.
thanks!
