Yup, had one few years back, had to take apart a barn wall, put poison in there and finally caught it in a trap, probably because it was pre-poisoned.
Way too smart for traps alone.

Love moose meat too, daughter in law occasionally travels to Iqaluit for work, and apparently the flights from Whitehorse to Iqaluit go thru Ottawa, so hoping to be a beneficiary of some "leftovers" :)

Oh the stories that could be told of poultry keepers out at night in their jammies (or less ;) protecting their flock. Glad rest of the flock is alright.
