What I have been up to...

Since I don't have many birds any more and no gardens to weed I have been busy on the water.... I was working from home this past Spring so I had a bit of flexibility in my work schedule, which worked out nicely. Spring Lake Ontario Lake Trout Laker 5.jpg Spring King Salmon out of Port Dalhousie Dou...

Re: Trapping Racoons

I often use large marshmellows threated onto a string and tied inside the trap for raccoons, they like the sweet and other animals like cats are not attracted. Sweet corn works well too, but I have caught rabbits with corn.

Late Fall Fishing

Well with more cold temperatures and snow coming, I knew the days fishing in the boat would be limited since I do not have indoor storage and want to get the boat winterized and wrapped before too much snow. So have been out in the boat every weekend and took a "mental health" day earlier this week....

What unique plants....to be admired at a distance 😆
Haha the plants themselves do not smell just the flower, which the plant needs to be usually around 4-5 years old to flower and the flower only lasts a couple days.

Re: Oreka Solutions info rec'd for feed & black soldier fly

Interesting thanks for the info. I looked into Enterra in BC a couple years ago, as they produce a black soldier fly meal I wanted to use as an animal based protein source for my quail and other birds, but they were only selling in 500 pound totes , a bit more than I wanted. That Gallus feed supple...

WLLady I am at home teaching the student who selected to learn via the "asynchronous digital" model, so I don't broadcast anything live. I post course content and help students via email, instant message or one-on-one Teams meetings. I really miss the interaction with the students and it is just so...

Summer and Early Fall

Well since not too many things to do over the last 6 months and with my health issues the last couple years not getting out much, I have been trying to catch up on some much needed fishing since May. I spent most of my time in late Spring and Summer chasing trout and salmon, switching over to walley...
