Sav-a-chick is available at Tractor Supply in the US, and I have a supply on hand. If you are close to a border, it may be worth finding a Tractor Supply in your closest US border city. I shop at Tractor Supply a couple of times a year for poultry stuff I can't get here in Canada.

Most chickens really don't mind a blow dry. Just make sure the heat is low or off. I alternate between low heat and cool - don't want them to overheat. It also helps to gently fluff and keep the blow dryer moving to speed up drying. I swear by an Epsom salts bath. Almost every hen I have given the s...

Not shocking that they asked if they looked old ... the size of the spurs means they had to be cockerels, not ready to lay hens.
