32602 Poultry Talk Ontario! just upload your pics here and skip all the image hosting sites!!! I never liked them much and therefore I've never used them so I really cant comment on them much. Hmm... It's not the Insert image icon because that inserts a link to an image. It's not a URL. OK... I giv...

Image Hosting

Just spent the last 30-45 minutes on my Photobucket account and it would not let me copy the image link for me to post. Plus it was getting jumpy. :gaah:
Can anyone recommend reliable image hosting site?
Thanks.

31458 whenever I have birds that wont roost I just pick them up and put them on the roost in the dark, eventually they seem to do it on there own. I wont move them with the light on cuz it might wake them and everyone elze in the coop up. I recently got a nice little rooster that took a week to lea...

Moulting

31626 Here's me first molter this fall giving me her good side lol FullSizeRender-1615x2662.jpg Our rooster's butt is bright pink. I don't think it looks too good. If I can manage getting a picture, I will post it. I have sprinkled DE on the coop floors, in the nesting boxes, and on the roosts. We ...

Molting / Moulting

When would chickens begin moulting? On one site, I saw at 18 months old.
Another site says in the Fall.
Just don't want to misdiagnose lice / mites vs moulting, etc.
Thanks.

Bumble foot core

hens huddling by coop door

Hmm... 1. We have had a flashlight shining through one of the triangular shaped vents where the roof meets the wall. 2. They have to go in further and walk by the roost to lay eggs in the nesting boxes. 3. I clean the coop regularly. But since they had bumblefoot, I put in more bedding (not quite to...

hens huddling by coop door

Does anyone have experience with hens huddling by the coop door when they go in at night? Our Black Sex-Links really crowd by the door, still at least 1 (we are making progress) sitting out almost onto the ramp. Only 1 or 2 use the perch. It is a free standing perch with a flat surface like a 2x4, a...
