Re: Small Bag Haylage
I try and harvest the dried grass clippings from the lawn and give that to them and use it in the nest boxes. I was surprised to see they liked to eat it. Didn't get much this year though. I'm not fond of silages, don't like the pervasive smell, and you really have to be careful it's always fresh as...

Re: performance Poultry
The year we ordered 5 each of the straight run Dorkings and Spitzhabens, we got all males! Very disappointing but they were very nice and tasted good! Last year the odds with the Hamburgs was much better....

Re: Aren't you glad this isn't freezing rain?
It's a but of a paradox here as we are surrounded by water and don't have much ground water until it rains! It's sits right on limestone in most places less that 4 ft below so the water just seeps through to the Rock and then flows from there...most places have at least one sump in the basement for ...

Yup, power came back on just after 11 pm, the basement is damp but the sump did it's job. I know it's going to flood so keep things up. Now the driveway is a river cause that is where the sump water goes!

Re: Aren't you glad this isn't freezing rain?
Hope you don't have to use it! Seems to be just around us in South Bay. Bigger is with all the rain the sump isn't pumping out the basement which is now flooded...

I wouldn't rule out coyotes depending on the details of her disappearance as this was a very young dog and solo so would be prime pickings for coyotes. They are incredibly clever at tricking dogs into following them....
I hope she is found safe though, it's tragic when they disappear.

Hmmm, I've gotten chicks from them for the last 4 years and though occasionally I haven't been able to get all I wanted they have always been very healthy and I haven't lost any. I'm lucky they are very close so for me it's easier than going cross country to get what I want. I know they get very bus...

Hmmm, you got it just in time...they had a catastrophic fire there that killed 50000 ducks on New Year's Day.
