Re: Just wondering..

Geez I'm feeling pretty good about my 5 egg a day average out of 8 hens-3 of which are 6 years old. I'll take it!

Re: Not so patiently waiting

I’m very partial to the spangled as well. And yes I think you’re right kenya about that first one. She looked black when she hatched so I keep thinking of her that way. Little tried taking over the main coop tonight. She got all of her babies up on her and Sherman’s perch. That didn’t go very well. ...

How many do you have now Jaye? I’m still enamoured with the idea of quail! I didn’t think you could let them out in the yard but with you there’s no telling lol.

Couldn’t be happier with the mix that I got! What do you think Honey is? And the other (duller) partridge one? I was thinking crele but not sure.

Re: Concerning item in the news - Dead Chickens on the road

That was my first concern too WLL...why did they die and how close to me did this happen. Seems odd to me they are taking the carcasses to the dump. I hope they are incinerating them and not just dumping them. If there was some type of disease involved that seems like an outbreak waiting to happen. ...

Re: Not so patiently waiting

Well Honey doesn't seem the worse for wear! Is the top one a kind of chocolate laced bird? Honey is a bit smaller than the rest but she came from the tiniest egg and hatched a full 3 days behind her oldest sibling so to be expected. She still tucks herself under moms legs to sleep on the perch ♥️ T...
