I worry about it a lot, my future DIL has been in Hospital since early March with the virus . She was supposed to be released 2 weeks ago but tested positive again her immune system has been trashed by this virus and she is only 33 . Stay safe everyone

This year for myself was heavy on pullets with 39 on the ground and 25 cockerels in my standard bred RIR and today the sorting continues for keepers for next years breeders. I know the quality of the pullets is not as good as the previous year ,but in saying that ckls have improved greatly.

Lee your best way to track down some standard bred reds would be to attend the Ontario Poultry Breeders show in October in Grassie Ont.The top breeders in your province will be attending this show as it is the top showcase for your area. Good luck

Well the weather has held up so 25 acres of sweet corn in the ground ,row covers go on today. Still no off shore workers have arrived damn govt paperwork late again. 30 acres to plow and disc tomorrow beautiful weather here in the Fraser Valley. First reds of the season go out on the grass today.

OC , you are correct a change is coming in the weather here in the Fraser Valley. The boss has just spent 4 days spreading compost on the corn fields. The foolish man then commented we should get the seeder and tarps out for planting. I shook my head and walked away RAINY April is around the corner ...

Living near Beau Peep and judging 4H birds from them over the last 5yrs , I would not recommend buying from them. They are a broker who brings in all their chicks from USA , the birds are of poor quality . Just my 2 cents worth
