Re: Hard butter

I think it's more a case of that our grains no longer carry the food value they used to. I don't have a problem with palm oil. It is supposed to be a healthy oil.

Re: Can't find Amprolium

I have bought regulated medicines and rat bait online from Europe and USA. It always cleared the border. If they know in US it's restricted sometimes they won't ship without prescription. Mostly I go E-Bay Poland, Romania or Ukraine if that's the case. Just don't buy a large enough quantity that the...

Re: Seed starting

I once ordered seeds from China and less than half were the same species that I ordered. Hopefully you got what you ordered.

Breeds you were disappointed in and why.

Many breeders jump around from one exiting breed to the next, trying to find the best breeds for their liking. Re: Coronavirus - how much do you worry ?

I said about 50 pages ago I would not comment on this thread as I was ostracized for my comments.

Forgive me for commenting now but I just have to comment on the self vaccination for second shot thing. All the early vaccines require real cold temperatures for storage so that is not an option.

Not all varieties are invasive species. Do your research.

Re: Bamboo

I had ordered some seeds on e-bay and they were fairly easy to germinate. Didn't keep them more than a year or so as I changed plans. Here is an Ontario site that sells/ships them.

Re: Marketplace about Amazon returns

Most of the time they don't go to waste. They are put on pallets and sold to liquidator warehouses such as VDC in Thorold. Anyone including you can purchase them for use or resale. here is an example

Re: Garden Diaries, 2020

I think it depends more on if you have them in a windswept area or where they get snow cover. You want to protect the bud system in the root zone from super cold dry wind. I put a light coat of straw to encourage the snow to stick. Remember to remove the straw in the early spring or it can cause mor...

Re: Garden Diaries, 2020

Just as tomatoes, potatoes are also determinate or indeterminate. Only the indeterminate varieties work for the multi layer approach. The determinate varieties do not require hilling if planted 6-8 inches deep. There is not a lot of information on this available as potatoe seed companies do not rele...
