that black one is gorgeous. down here we have pure eastern yotes...but we also have wild dog x yotes. been confirmed genetically. i have seen both...we have the yotes - smaller long legs and typical yote shape. lanky and about 20-30 pounds at the most. the brush wolf (as they are called here) run 60...

Did you get it? There's been a lot take this year in deer season down here! Some with really neat colouring too. One almost totally black, and another that had the german shepherd black back saddle....

turkey sandwich meat-cured

4-6 turkey breasts cure: 1/4 cup kosher or pickling salt 3/4 tsp pink curing salt (mortins or similar) 2 tbsp ground sage 2 tbsp ground black pepper 6 tbsp parsley flakes 2 tbsp ground thyme rub cure all over meat and seal into ziplock bags and put in fridge for 5 days turning over 2xday wash meat 4...

i will put the recipes up in the recipe section...they are amazing. this time i am not going to smoke them though, just slow low bake. we find the smoke gives us each a headache and i did some turkey without and it was perfect....

Not quite morning any more....but good day everyone! It's done. We are down to 8 ducks (4 for Bayvistafarm , 4 for us. The rest are now curing in the fridge for the next 5 days to become pastrami and montreal smoked duck. Not sure how I feel about it all. Waiting on an MRI and cannot, absolutely can...

Congrats OC! I apparently need a photo since i go online to renew and it says "nope, can't". So now i get to find an open service ontario somewhere...hopefully not too far away. Likely. If you can get some liquid vitamin mix it wouldn't hurt. I've had hens do this and they were both vit B deficient. Brewers yeast crushed up in the food can also help-that's mostly vit B and protein....
