Black/Buff Leghorns
Hey - I'm seeking black and/or buff leghorn hatching eggs. I am located Peterborough way. I hoping someone local has these but I would certainly entertain shipped eggs. Let me know what you have. Thanks all.

Hey Bert..
Did you have to pay brokerage fees and get hit with taxes when you picked up your Rockauto order from the post office? Interesting site for sure.
Thanks, Chris.

Re: Bantam Ameraucana eggs
I haven't weighed it but I would say around 30 grams-ish. Here is a pic showing relative size. My friends EE banties have been laying for a couple months now. Mine are the same age (hatched end of May, 2017) and have not laid yet. Fingers crossed that it happens soon. Free loaders!

Re: best laying breed

I have found that of the mallard derived breeds that I have or have had (khaki, saxony, appleyard, cayuga, welsh harlequin and crosses), excluding the black east indies, they all laid at about the same rate. I do not have lights or heat in my coop either. My duck laying season is around ea...

Re: Processed Some Ducks on Sunday
The meat is very dark and beef like. I wouldn't go as far as to say they taste like beef. They are very tasty however. Give them a try. I have skinned them whole and roasted them but they can dry out. Bacon is your friend..! I often pluck the breasts and fillet them off with the skin on. I love pan ...
