I ended up buying silver Grey Dorking hatching eggs this spring and had a good hatch but a couple of the chicks only had 4 toes instead of the 5 they are supposed to have . I kept back the cockerel with 4 toes as he is still striking looking, had a nice comb compared to a few of the 5 toed cockerels...

Yeah you have a really nice dark egg there and a couple with those great speckles. The Marans eggs make a great foil beside those blue eggs!

100 broilers....Wow you sure jumped into the chicken farming with both feet!! Good for you that you found your chicken niche and are still in it!

Such nice speckles! My blue coppers give me more speckles than my blacks. Send more egg pictures when your Marans start laying more!
