Re: Large Fowl Buff Rocks?

I'll let him hatch all he can. Then he'll be nice and sell me some in the fall or next spring.

Re: Large Fowl Buff Rocks?

Thank you. Yes, I keep in contact with them. They are in the same boat as me, having a hard time finding new blood and need to keep what they have for breeders for themselves.

Large Fowl Buff Rocks?

Does anyone know anyone who breeds buff rocks? I breed large fowl and bantam buff rocks. They are becoming hard to find. Plus Coonhound is always one step ahead of me in buying up any that pop up as available. I'm hoping he has enough now and will let me have some. Although, to his credit, he has be...

Poultry Club Facebook Page

Our poultry club has been trying to use humour to help promote our Spring Show and Open House. If you like poultry and have an odd sense of humour, you may like some of these posts. Or, if you're like my wife, you'll just roll your eyes and shake your head. They're not all meant to be funny, some ar...

It is an APA show judged by Mark Camilleri. There will also be a section for Backyard Chickens. We have ...

Royal winter fair

I enjoyed the Royal this year. I was only a spectator, but plan on showing next year. It still means something to the older exhibitors like Homer, Gardhouse, Nieuwland, Volkmann, etc. Some of them started working with the Royal poultry show when they were kids 50+ years ago. Once they got used to it...

Poultry Breeders' Invitational Auction

There is a $25/bird minimum bid at this sale. We had to have something like that in place to make sure we got the quality we were looking for. If they don't bring $25/bird the breeder takes them home. A lot of birds sold in the $25-$35 range at last year's sale. The high was $100/bird for silkies th...

Poultry Breeders' Invitational Auction

It's our hope that all of the birds are good. I have seen some of the sale birds at shows this fall. Most will be out of parents that were shown. That's not to say they will all go to their new homes and start winning shows next year. A lot of work goes into the care and preparation of a bird that y...
